YONEX Contract Players Win the Women’s Singles and Mixed Doubles

Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold 2011 was held from March 15th to 20th in Basel, Switzerland.

In the women’s singles final, Indian superstar Saina Nehwal (ARC7) won over Sung Ji Hyun by 21-13 and 21-14 and it became her first title in this year.

In mixed doubles, there are three YONEX players in the final. Denmark pair Fischer (ARC10) and Pedersen (NS9900)faced a England pair, Jenny Wallwork(VT70) and Nathan Robertson. After close first game 23-21, Nielsen and Pedersen led second game 21-14 and won the first victory of this year.

YONEX German Open Grand Prix Gold 2011 was held from March 1st to 6th in Mulheim an der Ruhr, Germany. On the March 6th, the finals of each event were held in huge crowds. In the tournament, Japanese players showed great results in Women’s Doubles, Singles and Mixed Doubles events.

Lee and Mathias/Carsten Becomes the Runner-up in Korean Open

World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei lost to Beijing Olympic gold medalist, Lin Dan, in the final of the Korea Open Super Series Premier 2011. Similarly, World No. 1 Men Doubles pair, Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen lost to home favorites Jung Jae Sung and Lee Yong Dae in the final.

Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia won his 7th Malaysian Open titles
The world No.1 Lee Chong Wei (AT900PLC) and World No.2 Taufik Hidayat (ARCZSTH/ARC10) played for the title of the Men’s Singles event in the Malaysian Open 2011. In the final, Lee Chong Wei won the title with the final score of 21-8 and 21-17.

Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen won their first Super Series Final title.
Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia captured his third consecutive Super Series Final title and defended the crown in 40 minutes with 21-9, 21-14 over Peter Gade of Denmark.

In the Men’s Doubles, World No. 1 Mathias Boe(AT900-P)and Carsten Mogensen(VT70) won their first title at the Super Series Finals.
