Lee Chong Wei Won the First Title After His Two-Month Break for Injury

YONEX-Sunrise Hong Kong Super Series 2009 has held from November 10th to 15th at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong.

On the last day In the men’s singles, Yonex`s contract players, the world No.1, Lee Chong Wei (Armortec 900 Power) and the No. 3, Peter Gade (Arc Saber 10) has met in the final in a thrilling three game battle. In the first game, Peter Gade lead the first 4 points with very little effort. Lee Chong Wei was able to catch up and took control of the lead throught the first game using superb out-of-this world defense and powerful attacks to win 21-13.

In the second game, the match was very close until Lee Chong Wei started to make mistakes after mistakes hitting the shuttle to the net or out of the court in the middle of the game. Peter Gade took this opportunity and used his deceptive shots and superb cross cort drops to keep Lee Chong Wei wrong footed and win 21-13.  In the last game, Lee Chong Wei was able to recover and return to his aggressive pace and used his powerful attacks to beat Peter Gade 21-16.

After the exciting game, Chong Wei won the first title after his 2-months break for injury. The score was 21-13, 13-21 and 21-16, and Peter Gade became the runner-up.
