YONEX Contract Players Finish 1st, 2nd in Men’s Singles Event

Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia won his 7th Malaysian Open titles

Malaysian Super Series 2011 was held from January 18th to 23rd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The world No.1 Lee Chong Wei (AT900PLC) and World No.2 Taufik Hidayat (ARCZSTH/ARC10) played for the title of the Men’s Singles event.

In the semi-finals, Lee Chong Wei defeated China’s Long Chen by 21-19 and 21-9, while Taufik Hidayat defeated his teammate, Simon Santoso(AT900-P) by 21-15 and 21-19.

In the final, Lee Chong Wei won the title with the final score of 21-8 and 21-17. This is his 7th title of Malaysian Super Series in total and he won four years in a row.

He had a great start in 2011, following the winning the title at Super Series Finals early in January.

Both Lee and Taufik ready for competing next Super Series in Korea which is started from 25th Jan, 2011.
