YONEX Players Win the Mixed Doubles and a Japanese Pair Wins Women's Doubles

YONEX German Open Grand Prix Gold 2011 was held from March 1st to 6th in Mulheim an der Ruhr, Germany. On the March 6th, the finals of each event were held in huge crowds.

In the tournament, Japanese players showed great results in Women’s Doubles, Singles and Mixed Doubles events.

In the final of Mixed Doubles, a YONEX pair Robert Blair(ARC10, SHB-101) and Gabrielle White(VT70, SHB-101) won the title by defeating a Japanese pair of Shintaro Ikeda(SHB-85) and Reiko Shiota(ARC-ZS), 16-21, 21-16 and 21-15 in 53 minutes. Their wining was only European players in this European host tournament and full crowds gave them huge cheers to the winning.

While Women’s Doubles, Japanese pair Mizuki Fujii(VT70) and Reika Kakiiwa(AT900T) won their first Grand Prix Gold title by defeating a Korean pair, 21-6 and 21-14. This victory made the pair great confidence for coming the Super Series Premium title of YONEX All England Championships 2011.
